“Well, this is over.”

Jinhyuk stared blankly as the games end credits scrolled up. It was a game he bought two days ago because people recommended it to be difficult.

But it was easy.

“They said it was hard? That even Seong Jinhyuk wouldnt be able to beat it? Theyve got to be fucking with me.”

Jinhyuk wasnt a pro gamer. Hes called the worlds greatest hunter, but he didnt have any game-related abilities either.

But that didnt stop him from being good. Its only natural. His genius brain with the ability to quickly learn anything made even games a breeze.

“Bullshit.”

He sighed and leaned against the back of his chair. Its already been a month since he killed the King of Gates. Its been peaceful for a month since then enough to try a game out, but even this eventually got boring.

There is nothing interesting in the world, and to be at the peak is boring.

“How did this happen?”

There was a time he wanted to be at the top. Okay, it didnt have to be the top, just anywhere enough to live well.

For he has never seen his parents before, and was bullied for being an orphan.

Jinhyuk just wanted to live like a human being.

Then one day, he heard the voice of The System. That there will be monsters invading this world soon, and that it will give those in unfortunate conditions a chance to survive.

‘The abilities were listed, and I was told to choose one of them.

The ability Jinhyuk picked back then was high intelligence. He didnt know or care about what monsters were, but thought nothing would be impossible if you were smart.

And that was the correct choice.

The ability gifted him a brain that can easily memorize, understand, and absorb knowledge. The kinds of martial arts you expect in a dojo, the sorceries youd see in fictions became easy to learn as long as they existed.

So he did. Jinhyuk visited numerous hunters who appeared in this world and learned their abilities by imitating them. It was fun and enjoyable to learn each and every skill.

Until you reach a pinnacle too high for others to grasp.

“Theres a limit to how much I care about killing monsters, and being praised for it.”

Wealth and fame acquired in an instant. But it felt like wearing a luxurious outfit that didnt fit. Youre happy by the fact that its luxurious, but eventually the discomfort is all that you care about.

“In the end, its the same as before I became a Hunter and now.”

Jinhyuk was alone. Despite becoming the strongest hunter, he had no friends.

In fact, he never had any friends in his life. People always gave weird looks, only waiting for the chance to growl with him. Why did they bother him so much, when he did nothing wrong?

And now that hes the strongest, his phone rings? Those who despised you so much now ask if youre up for lunch?

Who would want to be friends with such people? Maybe some, but not Jinhyuk.

“I want to try dating, but… theyd never love me for who I am. Itd be because Im the strongest hunter.”

No one really likes themselves. And just as so, there is no part that Jinhyuk likes about this world. To Jinhyuk, everything in this world was like hell.

Even though he could destroy it with a simple gesture.

“Maybe I shouldnt have reached for the top? Or is there some curse on me that prevents me from living like a normal person?”

This life of constantly being in search of something interesting is exhausting. With the way things are going, he fears that he may reach out to drugs for answers. He didnt want to go that far.

“But… Was that game a drug?”

A blue portal appeared in front of him. It felt different from the dungeon gate.

‘If its a dungeon gate, you should be able to see through it.

There was a dungeon in front of it. He was confident of his sense as a hunter. But the portal in front of him felt like nothing.

“Am I hallucinating from going crazy…”

Jinhyuk has never heard of a gate like this. Has some new crisis occurred within a month? He binged on gaming, so he had no knowledge of the news outside.

He turned on his smartphone and searched online.

Unidentified portals, dungeon-invisible gates, etc.

No result.

“What is this?”

His heart began to pound at the mysterious thing. However, he couldnt get his hopes high just yet and quickly made a post in the hunter community.

————-

Seong Jinhyuk: Im Jinhyuk – cant see the dungeon through a portal. Is that even a thing?

————-

More comments posted after but nothing useful was found. In other words, no other hunters have seen such a portal or gate.

“This might be a great discovery!”

Jinhyuks heart couldnt beat any faster. How exciting is it to to face the unknown. There is nothing more exciting than to find out.

“Should I touch it?”

In the middle of his question, a womans cry was heard through the portal.

Sob, sob…

Startled by the sound of crying, Jinhyuk stepped back. Her voice suggested that a young girl. Its strange enough that the dungeon is invisible, but to be able to hear a girl crying through the portal…

– It seems to be impossible. Im done for…

What does she mean? Unable to fight his curiosity, Jinhyuk stretched out his hand through the portal, feeling some kind of pull into it.

Its definitely different from entering a dungeon. The dizziness was so severe that he felt like he was going to lose my mind.

But the almighty Seong Jinhyuk could not let that happen. After taking a calm, deep breath, he focused on keeping his sanity and continued forward leisurely.

Is this how its like to do drugs?

Neon signs flickered around him as if entering a club, and when the lights finally disappeared, he found himself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling .

Jinhyuk got up and found a girl staring back.

It was really odd.

If you are Asian, you may have black hair and black eyes, and for Western, blonde or red.

But she had pink hair.

‘Well, she couldve dyed it.

If you bleach like crazy and dye it, I guess pinks possible. But aside from the hair, it doesnt make sense to have purple eyes.

‘Are you wearing colored lenses?

It couldnt be. That innocence in her bewildered bright eyes, she was undoubtedly a young girl. No matter how much of a weeb a young girl may be, she probably isnt cosplaying at her home. Especially in broad daylight.

“Who are you?”

“Wo-whoa! He speaks!”

The girl jumped excitedly from his simple question. Feeling a presence, he turned to his side and found a wizard who looked like something out of a fantasy novel.

“A human? You summoned a human?”

The wizard tilted their head in confusion. Fortunately, the wizard had a familiar black hair and black eyes, but their unfriendly vibe gave a sense of distance between him.

“Looking at the lack of horns, he doesnt seem to be a demon… and no monster spirit, so couldnt be a monster. A sprite? Elf? Not beautiful enough for that.”

Isnt that just a bit rude? Jinhyuk was dissatisfied, but he stayed still thinking she may be right about how beautiful a sprite or an elf may be.

“You, are you really human?”

“Correct.”

“Unbelievable… Lilil! This is a major problem!”

“Eh, a major problem?”

The wizard quickly turned around, calling the pink-haired girl Lilil. Lilil blinked blankly, seemingly having no thought going on in her head.

“You havent fully developed your skills. You dont know how to cancel a contract. right?”

“Y-yes… ”

“Then what do we do about him? His family back home, and his friends from his hometown would be worried. By the looks of it, he could have a wife or children!”

“I dont.”

“Sorry?”

“I dont have any. Family or friends.”

He started to understand what was going on here. Lilils power is to summon other beings and make a contract, but doesnt know how to cancel the contract just yet.

Thats why the wizard is saying this is a major accident. Humans normally have family and friends.

But whats not true must be said. He has no family or friends. Jinhyuk is not the type to speak without thinking, but he always spat out whatever he wanted to say right away.

“So the wizard… What can I call you?”

“Call me Ishizu.”

“Yes, Ishizu. You have nothing to worry. I have no family or friends. There isnt even a place comfortable enough to call home.”

“No way… ”

“Instead, answer these questions.”

Jinhyuk asked the question he had in mind as soon as he saw Lilil.

“Are we on Earth?”

“Earth? Never heard of it. This is the Kyros Empire.”

“Kyros Empire? Whats that?”

“You dont know what Kyros Empire is? Are you from another world?”

“It seems so.”

Jinhyuk was convinced that it was a different world. Do the powers obtained through The System transfer over? He had to check that first.

“Fire.”

A small flame sparked in his hand. He wanted something bigger, but it doesnt seem to work. The powers obtained through The System are transferred over, but limited. Whats going on?

In the midst of my confusion, Ishizu looked stunned.

“H-how? How did you cast a spell with such a simple phrasefire?”

“Dont you just have to imagine it?”

“Heavens. thats the realm of an archmage. Can you make it bigger?”

“I used to be able to, but not now.”

“No way!”

Ishizu glared at Lilil. Unaware of her mistakes, Lilil jumped in shock and trembled in fear.

“Lilil doesnt even have enough magical powers to cast her own spells properly… that spell being the ability to summon others with a binding contract… ”

“Ah, so since the caster is weak, I became weak as well?”

“Youre fast, as expected of an archmage. That is correct.”

“Hmm, if so… ”

How weak has he gotten? Since he cant simply go break something, Jinhyuk started doing push ups as a measurement.

“N-not only is he an archmage, but has good stamina as well… ”

A little difficult, but 500 without rest. However, he definitely felt weaker after doing about 500.

‘I *am* weaker.

After finishing his push-ups Ishizus gaze changed from the cold stare to eyes of admiration. Jinhyuk turned away in embarrassment.

“So, if I want to regain my powers, I just have to make the contractor, Lilil, stronger. Right?”

“T-thats correct, but Lilil is so weak… ”

“How do you increase this magical power?”

“There are many ways, such as eating special foods, focusing and materializing ones mind… and others.”

“Hmm, Alright.”

So not all hope was lost. That meant it was possible to solve this problem, and Jinhyuk could feel the joy of getting stronger like before.

Jinhyuk subconsciously pulled out his phone to share this joy with the hunter community. He didnt expect his internet to work since hes in a different world, but somehow he was still connected.

The internet was in shambles, saying that Jinhyeok had disappeared. He laughed out loud when he read that he might have been a savior sent by God.

For a world that never cared about Seong Jinhyuk, they sure cared a lot about the greatest hunter Seong Jinhyuk.

Could he care less.

Seong Jinhyuk smashed his smart phone with his bare hands.

“So, to summarize, I just have to make my summoner stronger. Correct?”

And he said with a smile.

“Finally, something exciting.”
